1965 Shelby GT350 R+
(Clone-Rest-o-Mod)

(last updated 7/3/04)
Everything except the sheet metal, some glass and the frame is ALL NEW!
I call it a 1965 Shelby GT350 R+ because it's about 3 times the car of an
original 65 Shelby.
+ more power,
+ more comfort and refinements,
+ more gears with the 5 speed
and a LOT more fun!

My Current Hard Costs
$63,178.38
See COST BREAKDOWN
Carroll Shelby himself must think my type of car is worth building since he
and a company called Unique Performance are now building cars VERY
similar to mine (coincidentally!) As seen here: http://www.uniqueperformance.com/
NOTE: this was NOT a "REAL Shelby GT350" when it started either!
It was just an ordinary 65 Mustang Fastback just like mine!

Their base price starts at $95,000 and one similar to mine (with less horsepower,
no 3" exhaust, and less several other features mine has - that theirs didn't have)
sold at the recent Barrett-Jackson auction for $151,200.00
Their SPECS & PRICES
I personally inspected this very car and frankly mine is considerably nicer. Better
fit and finish, better insulated, more features and mine sounds better than theirs
(with my 3" exhaust system). I can't figure out their rational for having A/C and
a Shelby R plastic rear window with the big hole in it for the A/C cold air to
escape through. DAH! What's the point of having A/C?
